MARCO PALMIERI is a developmental editor and creative producer, traversing the worlds of genre fiction, audio dramas, narrative games, and other storytelling media. His career spans over twenty-five years and hundreds of fiction and nonfiction works, including a number of national bestsellers. His current clients include aspiring and experienced writers, game developers, and book publishers. He was commissioned by Blackstone Publishing to assist J. Michael Straczynski in editing of the late Harlan Ellison’s The Last Dangerous Visions.

As a senior creative executive at Realm, Marco produced fiction podcasts, including The Shadow Files of Morgan Knox; Gods & Lies; Bullet Catcher; Low Life; Undertow: Blood Forest; Orphan Black: The Next Chapter; Batman: The Blind Cut; and others. He was also the curator and host of the anthology podcast Stories To Keep You Up At Night.


Marco was a senior editor at Tor Publishing Group, where he was privileged to work with authors such as Brooke Bolander, Seth Dickinson, Max Gladstone, Kameron Hurley, David Mack, Mimi Mondal, Sunny Moraine, Ilana C. Myer, Lawrence M. Schoen, Brian Staveley, James Swallow, E. Lily Yu, and many others. While at Tor, he also made his first foray into audio drama, co-producing the award-winning, 1.5 million download fiction podcast Steal the Stars, written by Mac Rogers and produced by Gideon Media.

Earlier in his career, Marco was a senior editor at Simon & Schuster, specializing in fiction based on third-party IPs like Star TrekWorld of WarCraft, Resident Evil, and the DC and Marvel comics universes. Before S&S, Marco was part of the marketing team at DC Comics 

Upbeat by nature, Marco lives by a very simple idea, one he tries to impart to all the writers under his care: that pessimism is a misuse of imagination.

When not editing, Marco enjoys good food, good wine, good whiskey, and exploring the universe.
